Apogee’s Team

Apogee engineers are not only experienced in product design and analysis, but also in tooling design, fabrication via CNC machining, and verification through dimensional inspection. They are regularly employed in machining complex parts in a variety of materials and machines. Their experience and direct involvement results in valuable design for manufacturability suggestions and eliminates disconnect in project handoff between design and fabrication.

In April 2021, Apogee made the strategic decision to invest in a rigorous quality system leading to successful AS9100D and ISO 9001:2015 certification in February 2022. In concert, we proudly maintain ITAR Registration, JCP Registration, SAM.gov Registration, NIST 800.171 and DFARS 252.204 7012 Cybersecurity Compliance for Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI).

Student Education & Employment

In addition to employing highly talented, industry tested engineers with a drive for efficiency, Apogee recruits and employs students as both full and part time co-ops and interns during various stages in their engineering education. We desire to equip engineering students for success by focusing on the practical application of skills learned in the classroom. Our team of engineers works closely with each paid intern to teach mechanical drawing and 3-D model interpretation; design for manufacturability; project management; production planning; programming in a variety of languages; tool application, selection and use; mechanical inspection; quality control; capital equipment maintenance and small business economics. 

As part of Apogee’s commitment to engage and educate future engineers, we invite students to shadow our team and host immersive class and team field trips for middle school, high school and college students to expose them to the challenging and rewarding world of hands-on engineering and manufacturing.
